Intervale has been working with several organizations as of late that are incurring heavy costs on cell phone usage overseas. Being that most of the traffic is communication back to the states, we have been able to greatly reduce the costs for international users through VoIP technology. We have done this using an Avaya platform as well as a hosted VoIP platform from DSCI. In each case, a soft phone or IP phone in the international office or on the users laptop has reduced mobile cost by 50% in the first month. This will continue to be reduced as the user themselves gets used to the picking on the desk phone as opposed to using their cell phone, but even with that said, conference calls and interoffice communication alone account for just about all of the savings. www.intervaletech.com
